Larson Electronics has announced the release of rugged new LED spotlight designed specifically for hunting use featuring a high power Red LED light emitter and extreme duty construction. The RL-85-3W1-RED LED Pistol Grip Hunting Spotlight gives hunters a powerful and fully portable lighting solution that can illuminate game up to 800 feet away, run for 16 hours on a single charge, and withstand the rough and abusive conditions of extreme hunting environments.
The RL-85-3W1-RED LED Pistol Grip Hunting Spotlight from Larson Electronics provides hunters and outdoorsmen with a powerful and extremely rugged red spotlighting solution that can run for extended periods on a single charge and withstand even the most demanding conditions. The materials used to construct this spotlight are UV, water and impact resistant, including a housing and handle assembly formed from high strength nylon and an LED lamp housing formed from a single piece of machined aluminum. The 3 watt LED in this high power spotlight is paired with a high efficiency reflector to produce a red spotlight beam of high intensity and good focus capable of reaching over 600 feet in length. The LED emitter is fully potted within the aluminum lamp assembly and protected by an unbreakable LEXAN lens for maximum durability and has an operating life rated at over 50,000 hours. As well as high power and extreme durability, this light is designed for long run times with an integral lithium ion battery pack that charges in 2.5 hours and can operate the light for 16 hours. This lithium ion battery pack requires no special charging procedures, can be charged fully or halfway with no detrimental effects, and can be recharged thousands of times before losing effectiveness. This light is also very user friendly, with a design that allows the operator to disassemble and service the unit without the need for tools. All the internal contacts can be accessed through a snap in cover, and the aluminum lamp assembly can be unscrewed and removed by hand, making this light easily serviced and managed, even in the field without any hand tools. This spotlight includes a wrist lanyard for easy carry and weighs only 14 ounces, making it well suited to long outings where equipment must be carried to and from the site. Larson Electronics also includes the required charging equipment and has fitted the base of this light with a threaded brass fitting that allows users to mount this light to Larson Electronics tripods and magnetic base stands for hands free operation. This pistol grip hunting spotlight is ideal for use while hunting predators and nuisance animals such as feral pigs due to the ability of red spotlights to illuminate the animals effectively without alarming them. This light will withstand abusive conditions such as heavy rain and extreme heat, run nonstop for an entire night on a single charge, and the powerful beam reaching up to 800 feet in length assures effective illumination of targets even at extended shooting ranges.
