Lancer Launches Special Ops Division, Unveils Sling Mount

Lancer Systems LP, a leading small arms component manufacturer, is proud to announce the new Lancer Special Operations Division of its small arms business area, an expansion of offerings specialized for military and law enforcement personnel. The Lancer Special Operations Division’s initial product launch is the Lancer Single Point Sling Mount, an exclusive attachment accessory currently in use by a U.S. Navy Special Mission Unit.

The Lancer single point sling mount is an extremely low-profile M4/M16 ambidextrous single point sling attachment accessory. The silent sling mount utilizes a slip-on single bolt attachment system that clamps onto the retractable carbine buffer tube directly behind the castle nut. A fixed permanent version is also available. The mount is compatible with M4, M16, HK 416, M27, SR-16 and similar weapon systems that utilize the Mil-Spec carbine buffer tube. The new sling mount is sold as an accessory and will be included on Lancer’s new Active Shooter Patrol Rifle scheduled for release in late 2013. Leading the Special Operations Division is Ty Weaver, Director of Special Operations & Training. Weaver is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a former Pennsylvania police officer. Continuing his 18-year civilian career focused on military and law enforcement weapon and equipment sales, Weaver brings his combat weapons expertise to Lancer looking to develop new, cutting edge weapons and accessories utilizing the company’s unique capabilities in advanced material solutions.
