Produced by Howard Films, the tarpon series begins in the Florida Keys to meet Olympic skier and 5-time Gold Cup Champion tarpon angler, Andy Mill. The action is covered from air, land and sea gives a unique view of tarpon from above the white sands and underwater.

The special airs during the network’s “Strike & Set Saturday,” which is hosting all-tarpon fishing episodes this Saturday from 8 to 11 pm ET/PT.

“The network premiere of Chasing Silver is another example of how committed Sportsman Channel is to delivering unique and compelling programming that educates and entertains,” said Graig Hale, VP of Business Development, Sportsman Channel. “This unique niche of fishing is a passion and dream many anglers strive for – but few can actually achieve.”

This Saturday’s episode journey’s to the Keys as host, Andy Mill, discovers the history of Florida Keys fishing that includes rare archival footage. Mill also shares his secret techniques for big tarpon that helped him win 5 Gold Cups with light tackle. Pro guide Tom Rowland rounds out the journey as he fishes some secret spots over white sands. Viewers should recognize Rowland from the series “Saltwater Experience” and “Into the Blue,” both airing currently on Sportsman Channel.
