FMG Publications Announces Return of Popular “Insider Tips” Online Video Series

With an influx of brand-new topics, “Roy’s Insider Tips” returns to educate new and seasoned gun owners alike. This reader-driven online video series from FMG Publications remains a success, as Roy Huntington, publisher of American Handgunner, provides engaging commentary on a wide cross-section of safe gun-handling techniques and other topics.

“While there are many ‘advanced’ training videos out there, we’ve found a real need for basic, ‘how-to’ tips and tricks for beginning shooters, and are finding out even experienced shooters enjoy being reminded of the basics,” says Huntington. “We’re essentially just responding to reader emails, letters and phone calls concerning what they’d like to learn more about. We have a lot of fun putting them together.”

This latest round of “Roy’s Insider Tips” features comprehensive videos focusing on how to sight-in handguns with fixed and adjustable sights, field stripping the 1911, steel target shooting and more.

In a new development, these videos venture beyond handguns and long guns, concentrating on knife sharpening, comparing binoculars and spotting scopes, highlighting useful gun-care tools and a fun segment on transporting firearms safely on ranch vehicles.

“It’s a genuine pleasure to work on producing these short how-to informational videos,” says Huntington. “We call on the knowledge we’ve gained over the years, and really enjoy sharing it. We hope with the addition of new topics, such as knife sharpening and home defense tips, the videos will grab the interest of our readers — and keep them coming back for more tips.”
