This week on North American Hunter-TV, Luke Hartle heads to Iowa after waiting three years to draw his nonresident whitetail slug gun tag. The next few days prove to be challenging with dropping temps, winds in the wrong direction and one massive buck that teases Hartle during his entire trip. North American Hunter-TV airs on NBC Sports Network Tuesdays at 1:30 pm, Thursdays at 5:30 am, Saturdays at 8 am and Sundays at 6:30 am ET. North American Hunter-TV is part of the North American Hunting Club, the premier community for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.
The first few days bring many deer near Hartle’s blind, but he passes on a few younger bucks. “I don’t want my hunt to be over so quickly; I’ve been waiting for three years to draw this tag,” Hartle comments as he spies a mature 10 pointer.
After a few close calls with the 10 pointer and deciding to wait for an even bigger buck, Hartle finally spies a massive whitetail coming into the field to graze. With darkness approaching, Hartle must decide whether to shoot.
Tune in to see if Hartle’s slug gun gets the job done – or if he goes home empty-handed.
