The Ruffed Grouse Society Schedules Grouse Dog Training in Jackson, Michigan

Proceeds used to restore and protect grouse and woodcock habitat

The Andy Ammann Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host a Grouse Dog Training Seminar at Settersrest Kennels, 7160 Jones Road, Jackson, MI on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. rain or shine.

According to Mike LeMasters, registration is $100 with a dog, or $50 without. Either way, each registration is limited to 15 RGS members. (On site memberships will be available). Curriculum includes: Foundation Development; Training for Reliable Retrieving; E-Collar Methods and Theories; and Problem Solving with Older Dogs.

Pigeons will be used for on-hand demonstrations. Adult dogs and puppies welcome. A Q&A session will follow. Registration deadline is August 3rd.
