Outdoor Channel Pro Angler Joe Thomas to Make Appearance at Cabela’s Green Bay Grand Opening

WHO: Joe Thomas, host of “Stihl’s Reel in the Outdoors” on Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV, and Cabela’s, the World’s Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear.

WHAT: Cabela’s is hosting the grand opening of its new store in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Professional bass angler and Outdoor Channel TV host Joe Thomas is slated to make a special guest appearance at the event, providing expert advice on fishing techniques, signing autographs and giving out branded gear to avid fans.

WHY: On “Stihl’s Reel in the Outdoors,” Thomas travels North America with friends and fellow anglers sharing lessons learned from more than 25 years on the pro tournament trail. Located just a few blocks from Ray Nitschke Field, Packers fans headed to catch a glimpse of training camp can stop by the new Cabela’s store to cool their “cheeseheads,” check out the latest in outdoor merchandise, and get some tips and tricks directly from the fishing legend himself!

The 100,000-square-foot store features a mountain replica, hundreds of museum-quality wildlife displays, an aquarium, indoor archery range, Gun Library, Bargain Cave, Deli, Fudge Shop and a Hall of Fame showcasing Wisconsin trophy animal mounts and other memorabilia honoring Wisconsin’s outdoor heritage. Thomas can be found in the store’s expansive fishing section amidst the array of poles, rods & reels, baits and tackle as he highlights angling as one of America’s favorite pastime pursuits.
