Pursuing the a buck of a lifetime, the crew at Full Draw Adventures films the journey of a Kansas hunter who takes to the milo fields and draws on his trophy buck dubbed “Wild Thing.” See the story unfold from the first trail cam photos to the unbelievable score sheet on this non-typical whitetail buck on Full Draw Adventures exclusively on Sportsman Channel this Saturday, July 27 at 6:30 pm ET.
From the first moments hunter Jeremy Schmeidler saw the photos on his trail cam, he knew this buck was something special. And over the summer, he saw the buck grow to 170 inches and knew it could top 200 by bow season. “He was without a doubt the biggest animal I’ve ever crossed paths with. I made up my mind he would be the only buck I would pursue,” said Schmeidler in the article “Wild Thing” in the August, 2013 issue of North American Whitetail.
Luckily, Schmeidler knew Dan Cross and Bill McCall, hosts of Full Draw Adventures. With a cameraman on his shoulder, Schmeidler hunted for nine days on his Kansas property – even getting lucky enough to have another trophy deer in his sights – a 174 inch ‘monster’ buck that he passes up in order to keep his chances alive with Wild Thing.
