The ODNR Divisions of State Parks & Recreation and Wildlife invite waterfowl hunters to participate in a special drawing on Saturday, August 17, 2013 for waterfowl hunting opportunities at Nimisila Reservoir and Long Lake. As an added bonus, Nimisila Reservoir will be open for early goose and teal season this year as well.

Registration at Wingfoot Lake’s Pine Tree Pavilion will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the drawing will follow.

There is a $50 non-refundable permit fee for the state park lottery winners (please note that only cash & checks are accepted). Hunters will place registration cards in a drum, names will be drawn for available dates and blinds, and first drawn will receive first choice.

Applicants must appear in person with proof of a 2013 – 2014 Ohio hunting license, state wetlands stamp endorsement in the applicant’s name, and a signed 2013 or 2014 federal duck stamp. Applicants under the age of 18 are encouraged to have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the permit contract, and they must provide the required license and stamps. There are 29 blind sites available and a calendar will be available showing all available hunting days for the 2013-2014 early season.

Call ODNR Division of State Parks and Recreation at (330) 644-2220 with questions.
