Special Drawing for Ohio Waterfowl Hunting Opportunities to be Held at Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area

The ODNR Division of Wildlife invites waterfowl hunters to participate in a special drawing on Thursday, September 26, 2013 for hunting opportunities on portions of Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area.
Registration at the Wayne County Fairgrounds Pavilion, 199 Vanover Street, Wooster, will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the drawing will follow promptly at 6:00 p.m. There is no fee for applying. Hunters will place registration cards in a drum, names will be drawn for available dates, and first drawn will receive first choice. Successful applicants must be present when drawn to be eligible.
The drawing will offer daily permits to hunt the first week of waterfowl season on selected units in the Wright, Moore, and Macko marshes. Other portions of Killbuck Marsh will remain open as in past years for public hunting during the 2013-2014 waterfowl season.
Each applicant must bring a 2013-2014 hunting license. There are 40 hunting dates available and a calendar will be available showing all available hunting days for the 2013-2014 waterfowl season.
Permits will be issued for a period of one day. Hunting is permitted till noon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the first week of the waterfowl season. A maximum of three persons may hunt each day and while the hunting partners may differ each day, the permit holder must always be present.
