Original Lifestyle Series “MeatEater” and “Dead Meat” nominated for CableFAX Program Awards
Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman, is pleased to announce two of its original lifestyle series are finalists for honors in the CableFAX Program Awards, an annual competition of television’s best cable programs juried by a leading TV industry media group.
Sportsman’s MeatEater, which follows the primal adventures of acclaimed author and outdoorsman Steven Rinella, was nominated for “Best Show or Series Animals/Nature.” A second original production, Dead Meat, which explores the local customs, characters and cuisine of America’s wildgame frontier, was nominated for “Best Show or Series Food on Location.”
Sportsman Channel previously took home the gold in the Program Awards in 2011 in the “Best Show Animal/Nature” category for the long-running series In-Fisherman and again in 2012 for Dropped: Project Alaska.
These latest honors add to Sportsman’s earlier awards this year from CableFAX and promotion/design industry association Promax BDA for programming and marketing excellence in 2012-2013.
“The Sportsman team and the producers we work with are the best in the business, and I am proud to see the quality of their work honored by these CableFAX Program Award nominations” said Gavin Harvey, CEO, Sportsman Channel. “It is great to be competitive with the best, most well-known lifestyle network brands in all of television.”
The CableFAX Program Awards winners will be announced on September 25.
