The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation in partnership with the National Rifle Association announce the 1st Annual 2013 Youth Fest, taking place September 14th, 2013 from 9 am to 5 pm. The Youth Fest is being held at Wern Valley Sportsman’s Club in Waukesha Wisconsin. For more information on this event visit the event web site or contact event organizer BGA Enterprises, led by Jerry “Ace” Luciano.
The event, which targets youth and new or inexperienced shooters, will be entirely free to all participants. Youth will have a choice of participating in such exciting activities as an Archery Range, BB/Air Rifle range, slingshot course, rifle range and a shotgun experience.
Keith Warnke, head of the Wisconsin DNR’s new department of shooting and hunter recruitment, Selected Ace Luciano and his BGA Enterprises to coordinate the event because of his long and prominent history in both introducing youths to shooting and hunting and educating them on the merits of service and “giving back” to the resource.
“Ace Luciano has been around for quite a while and has a long and distinguished history in both executing and running large outdoor events including fundraisers, conservation projects, and youth shooting and hunting programs. When it came time to choose the person to run this event, the question was why would we not choose Ace? We feel lucky to have him.”
Ace is an executive board member, as well as the state coordinator for the United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation, a 501 C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing kids to hunting, fishing, conservation, and the outdoors.
