Recently Blind Horse Knives was interviewed by for a story on turning a hobby into a job. The article is titled “Carving their own American Dream.” L.T. Wright and Dan Coppins share the story of how they started their knife company. Earlier this summer asked for submissions of companies who had turned their hobby into a job. Blind Horse Knives sent in their story and were chosen to be interviewed by for a featured article.

The article talks about how they started the company, the origin of the name of the company, and shares how far they have come. The company was a dream that the two had. They wanted to create heirloom quality knives with American materials and employ American workers.

How did it start out as a hobby? The owners of Blind Horse Knives started out grinding knives in the evening after work. They honed their skills and began to sell the knives. They took a leap of faith and quit their jobs to put all of their efforts into the knife company.
