NTOA Hosts 13th Annual Crisis Negotiations Conference at the Mesa, AZ Police Department, Oct. 28-31, 2013

The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) 13th annual Crisis Negotiations Conference will be held October 28-31, 2013 at the Hilton Phoenix / Mesa Hotel in Mesa, Arizona. The event is hosted by the Mesa (AZ) Police Department.

The conference features several presentations, including “Breaking the Silence: Law Enforcement Officer Suicide and Mental Health,” by Robert Douglas of the National Police Suicide Foundation and “Stop the Psychobabble! Negotiating with the Mad, Bad and Sad” by Shannon Meyer, FBI.

Compelling and contemporary debriefs will be offered including the “Alabama Bunker Hostage Incident,” by Vince Dalfonzo, FBI, and the “Midway Gunman Incident,” by Lt. Matt Hardesty, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

Registration for the 13th Annual Crisis Negotiations Conference is open to all active law enforcement officers. Cost for NTOA members is $300, for non-members $350.
