Ruffed Grouse Society to Host 2013 Fundraiser at Stone Lake, WI

The Wilderness Wings Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host its fifth annual Hunt, Shoot and Conservation and Sportsmen’s Banquet on Friday-Saturday, September 20-21, 2013, beginning with the Friday evening banquet at the Lumberjack Steakhouse, 15860 T Bone Lane, Hayward, WI and starting with a social hour at 5:30. Diner at 7:30 p.m.

According to Dave Reardon, the hunt takes place on Saturday, September 21st between legal shooting hours and 4 p.m.

“Hunters must return to Summit Lake Game Farm by 4 p.m. and shoot 5 stand to qualify for prizes. The top three teams will receive merchandise prizes. Awards/social hour following the last squad to shoot. Hors d’Oeuvres will be served, but Saturday dinner is at your expense,” Reardon said.

Individual membership and dinner tickets are $50.  Individual dinner/hunt/shoot tickets are $65. Individual hunt/shoot tickets are $20. There is also a membership and spouse package (includes two dinners without the hunt/shoot) for $60.  Banquet, Conservation, Sustaining and Gold sponsorship packages are also available at $275, $500, $1,000 and $2,200 respectively.

And, in the spirit of the outdoors, youngsters under the age of 16 who recently took and passed a hunter education course and/or women who have participated in a recent Outdoors Women program, and can verify same; will receive a complimentary dinner ticket when accompanied by a paying adult.

As with all RGS fundraisers, proceeds from this event will be used to restore and protect area grouse and woodcock habitat.
