SIG SAUER Pro Max Michel Brings Home Area 4 Title

SIG SAUER team captain Max Michel made the most of his first competition in Arkansas by taking the Open Division and Overall title at the United States Practical Shooting Association’s Area 4 Championship Sept. 5-8.

Competing with his SIG SAUER Open race gun, Michel held off a solid group of Grandmaster-level shooters to take the match title with 1339.5021 points, more than 5 percent ahead of the runner up.

“When you combine the best action pistol shooter in the world with the best firearm in the world, good things happen,” said Jarrod McDevitt, Rifle and Competitive Shooting Program Manager. “His real-world feedback is vital as we develop new products, especially when it comes to reliability and durability.

As a match sponsor, SIG SAUER continues to support the shooting sports and provide competitive outlets for firearm enthusiasts across the country. This weekend, the SIG SAUER Academy will play host to the USPSA Area 7 Championship at its Epping, NH training facility.

Michel will be part of a world-class field of competitors at the Area 7 Championship.
