World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, celebrates fishing in Canada with a six-hour block of programming starting Sunday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. highlighting great fishing experiences and destinations that await anglers across the country. An encore presentation follows at 6 p.m. ET.
“Canada offers some of the top destinations and angling experiences in the world,” said Pam Stinson, Vice President of Marketing for WFN. “There’s always something for everyone, whether it’s found in the remotest location of British Columbia that only few have traveled to or something a bit more accessible, such as a day of fishing on Lake Ontario, Canada is a destination that should be on the bucket list of every angler.”
WFN’s Fishing in Canada Marathon kicks off with an episode of Real Fishing starring a true Canadian angling legend, Bob Izumi followed by the first of two presentations of Canadian Sportfishing TV. Head west to experience the thrill of fishing in the Pacific Northwest for salmon, steelhead and trout on Westcoast Sporting Journal and BC Outdoors Sport Fishing or enjoy the energy and comedic presence of fishing funnyman Dave Mercer on Facts of Fishing. WFN’s own Mariko Izumi shows off her native land on an episode of Hookin’ Up with Mariko Izumi, and more fantastic destinations are revealed on episodes of Fish’n Canada, Outdoor Passion and Fish TV. Fly anglers will benefit from the tips and instruction on the always educational New Fly Fisher, and Jim Sammons demonstrates why kayak fishing is quickly gaining in popularity on The Kayak Fishing Show.
