Patoka Lake’s Eastern and Allen Creek waterfowl resting areas will be open for hunting and boat traffic on the dates listed below.
- Oct. 26-27 for youth waterfowl hunting weekend
- Nov. 2, 3, 6, 9, 10 and 30 for ducks and geese; and Nov. 12 for geese only
- Dec. 1,4,7,10,13,15,18,21,24,27,29 and 30 for ducks and geese
- Jan. 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 19 for ducks and geese; and Jan. 22, 25, 26, 29 and 31 for geese only.
The Eastern WRA (upstream of Wall’s boat ramp) and Allen Creek WRA (west finger of Little Patoka area) will be open for hunting one-half hour before sunrise to sunset. Non-toxic shot is required by law.
Sycamore Creek WRA is closed to waterfowl hunting at all times and to boat traffic Nov. 1-Jan. 31.
Patoka is in Indiana’s south zone for waterfowl hunting. Season dates are Nov. 2-10 and Nov. 30-Jan. 19 for ducks. Goose season dates are Nov. 2-12 and Nov. 30-Jan. 31. The youth waterfowl hunting weekend is Oct. 26-27.
Hunters are required to use the self-service hunter check stations daily.
