The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the June 23 theft of firearms from Stewart’s Ace Hardware 245 West Highway 40 Road, Roosevelt, Utah. This potential reward matches a $5,000 reward offer by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
According to ATF and the Roosevelt Police Department, 18 handguns were stolen in the burglary. ATF and the Roosevelt Police Department are investigating the theft and are seeking information from the public that would lead to the identification of those responsible.
The matching reward payment by NSSF will be granted only following payment of the initial ATF reward, which is up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the crimes.
