Fishhound.com, the Web’s fastest growing membership-based angling community, has announced that during the month of August, 56 new companies signed on as new advertising partners, while all 20 existing Fishhound partner companies with expiring contracts chose to renew their advertising agreements.
According to Rick Patri, Fishhound’s Vice President, Operations, the large number of companies signing on and renewing with Fishhound is testament to the effectiveness of Fishhound’s ability to promote brands and connect them with their target customers. “A 100 percent renewal rate of 20 expiring contracts is proof that our platform works,” said Patri. “Companies like Humminbird, Mustad Hooks, Bruiser Baits and Gamma wouldn’t renew, if we didn’t deliver.”
Partners such as Castaway Rods and Bruiser Baits, are quick to point out how teaming up with Fishhound pays big dividends.
“Fishhound.com provides us with an opportunity to reach our target demographic, increase our Facebook fan count and generate word-of-mouth marketing like no other advertising platform can, notes Michael McDevitt, Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Castaway Rods. “No banner placement or magazine ad offered within our industry can accomplish what Fishhound does for us.”
Bruiser Baits’ Chris Fickey is equally impressed with Fishhound’s ability to spark interest and brand awareness among avid anglers. “Nothing beats having 50,000 regular guys telling their buddies that your product works,” said Fickey. “There’s a direct correlation between Fishhound’s promotion of our brand and revenue generation.”
