A team from Bridge City, Texas is the latest winner in MidwayUSA Foundation’s Constituent Challenge. The Orange County Claybusters will see an additional $15,000 in their Scholastic Shooting Trust because they received the largest donation in September. That winning donation stemmed from their successful participation in MidwayUSA Foundation’s ‘Our Family Legacy’ promotion. Along with a matching donation from Larry and Brenda Potterfield, they earned instant operating cash and after this additional $15,000 from the challenge, the team has earned $37,500 for their shooting team in a very short amount of time.
“This challenge is proof that with some hard work and community support, our promotions and challenges can help teams grow their SST [Scholastic Shooting Trust] account almost overnight. We hope other teams will see how the effort of the Claybusters resulted in a nice chunk of money for their team,” said Executive Director, Dick Leeper.
On July 1, MidwayUSA Foundation announced the Constituent Challenge to all of its active teams. The program provides $15,000 to the team receiving the most money deposited into its Foundation account in a given month. The Constituent Challenge will continue for the remainder of calendar year 2013 or until otherwise announced by the MidwayUSA Foundation. Teams are eligible to win multiple times.
The MidwayUSA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization working to sustain the shooting industry by providing long-term funding to high school, college, university, and club shooting teams.
