While New York Giants All-Pro defensive end Justin Tuck is roaming the gridiron in the coming weeks for Eagles and Bears, Sportsman Channel will showcase Tuck’s off-season adventure in Argentina where he bowhunts in search of big game during an exciting two-part series on Bowhunter TV on Friday, October 4 and 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Tuck, an avid bowhunter when he’s not tormenting opposing teams’ quarterbacks, travels to the southern hemisphere with Bowhunter TV host Mike Carney to take advantage of Argentina’s red stag roar and a wide variety of other big game in the country’s Cerro Colorado foothills and mountains. Tuck likens bowhunting to football, and uses his All-Pro football skills when he finds himself face-to-face with a massive water buffalo at pointblank range.

“The key to football is patient aggression…the same in bowhunting,” said Tuck. “You’ve got to be patient because sometimes the animals just don’t follow our plans and script. You have to understand your time is going to come. When it does, you have to be ready to execute.”

The show not only showcases Tuck’s nose-to-nose encounter with a water buffalo, but he also executes an impressive spot and stalk hunt for a trophy axis deer and a fallow deer from 35  yards. Not to be outdone, Mike Carney demonstrates the perfect spot and stalk on a fallow deer as well. The hunting conditions are not always ideal, with heavy winds and difficult terrain, but Tuck and Carney make the most of their opportunities.

Tuck also will participate in a live Twitter chat on the October 11. The All-Pro lineman will answer viewer questions about the show and discuss his experience in Argentina.
