Kessler Canyon, The Kessler Collection’s premier outdoor resort and hunting lodge, has announced the formation of the Kessler Canyon Shooting Academy. Students of the academy will learn proficient, ethical and strategic shooting in a variety of regimens in a world-class setting. Classroom instruction as well as an emphasis towards hands-on shooting, will take place on Kessler Canyon’s 23,000 acres of diverse terrain. Three thousand feet of elevation coupled with diverse weather patterns, make this one of the most challenging and rewarding testing-grounds for any level shooter.

Kessler Canyon’s cadre of shooting instructors will include Bret Erickson. He is an American sport shooter who competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics, in the 1996 Summer Olympics, in the 2004 Summer Olympics, and in the 2008 Summer Olympics. Also joining the instructor ranks is Terry Vaughan, former competitor on season 4 of Top Shots on History Channel, and Bob Edwards, former Manager of Shotgun Sports for the NRA, Sporting Clays champion, Senior Instructor for the Remington Shooting Schools and active course designer, who serves as the academy’s senior wing shooting instructor. Classes to follow at Kessler Canyon’s Shooting Academy will include pistol, shotgun, CCW, and other standard rifle practices; as well as a special class put on by The Griffin & Howe Shooting School Instructors. These limited events will take place from October 25 -27 and December 13 – 15. Reservations are being accepted now.
