Kelly McMillan saw a need in the firearms industry and he answered the call. After its bank told McMillan USA that its business was not wanted Kelly recognized the need for a financial services company that valued the Second Amendment. This week on Gun Guy Radio Kelly and Jake discuss the beginning of McMillan USA as an innovator in the manufacture of the Marine Corps sniper rifle, as a fiberglass stock manufacturer, and even as an ammunition developer.
However, Kelly believes McMillan’s new venture is one that will likely strengthen the firearms industry for years to come. Unfortunately, Kelly realized that McMillan was not alone in its difficulty with the financial services industry. McMillan Merchant Solutions offers gun manufacturers and sellers a credit card processing service, e-commerce solutions, and even Pistol Pay, which allows firearms transactions between individuals in separate states. All of these services are provided at a competitive pricing structure
In addition to providing this new service in the industry, Merchant Solutions is giving back. According to Kelly McMillan is donating a percentage of its profits to Second Amendment advocate organizations and wildlife conservations groups.
In the Product Spotlight, Paul Levy of Brownell’s is back and this week tells Jake about Brownell’s own AR-15 barrels. Brownell’s has sourced American made black nitride and stainless steel AR-15 barrels in many popular calibers including .300 AAC Blackout, .223/5.56, DPMS pattern .308. The barrels are offered in various lengths, including unusual lengths that are both longer and shorter than the typical carbine length.
