Leupold Pro Jessie Duff Takes Lady’s Title at USPSA Open Nationals

Leupold & Stevens, Inc. pro Jessie Duff successfully defended her title at the United States Practical Shooting Association’s Open National Championship, held Sept. 27-29 in St. George, Utah.

A marathon match, made up of 22 stages, the ladies championship came down to 1.2 percentage points between Duff and the runner-up. Running a Leupold® DeltaPoint® on her custom race gun, Duff grabbed the lead and held on. The Open Division win came right on the heels of her national title in the Limited Division, which wrapped up the day before.

“For Jessie to take both of the titles, back-to-back, is a testament to her mental strength and physical conditioning,” said Mike Slack, senior manager of marketing and communications for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Jessie has much in common with our values here at Leupold: determination, tenacity and a drive to be the best. We could not be more proud of her.”

Duff’s Open Division match was not without its moments of drama. A protest from another squad led to one entire stage being thrown out of the match. The resulting reshuffling of points tested competitors’ mental toughness in addition to their speed and accuracy.
