Swedish-designed Knives Give U.S. Hunters an Edge

As fall hunting gets underway across the US, Morakniv specialty knives from Sweden are giving sportsmen an edge in the woods. Manufactured in Sweden for over 400 years, Morakniv for sportsmen are sharp, versatile and affordable, giving hunters the benefit of centuries of design expertise. Made of the sharpest steel available, Morakniv blades are fashioned for accuracy. The handles are designed to fit the contours of the palm, becoming, in effect, an extension of the hand.

“Hunters can head into the field with confidence with Moraknivs,” says Graeme Esarey, President of Industrial Revolution, Morakniv’s US distributor. “It’s exciting to introduce US outdoor enthusiasts to the power and performance that Europe an hunters and adventurers have enjoyed for centuries. “

The sturdy Bushcraft knife is available in orange or black, each with impressive features. The Bushcraft Black has a carbon steel blade that resists corrosion while the Bushcraft Orange comes with a Swedish cold-rolled stainless steel blade.  Perfect for shaving, light splitting and other tasks, the Bushcraft’s rubber handle fits firmly in the palm and its plastic sheath comes with two interchangeable belt clips. The back of the blade can also be used with a fire starter. The Bushcraft Black’s MSRP is $59.99. The Bushcraft Orange’s MSRP is $34.99.

An all-in-one outdoor knife, the Companion MG comes in stainless steel or carbon blade options. With a high-friction, patterned rubber handle, the Companion MG offers a comfortable grip, so field tasks from fish cleaning to carving are easily accomplished. The forest green plastic sheath comes with a belt clip for keeping the Companion MG close at hand. MSRP $17.99 (stainless) and MSRP $16.99 (carbon).

For the serious hunter, the Hunting Set 3000 includes two knives and a sharpening steel packaged in a durable carrying case. Both the boning knife and the skinning knife have finger protection and a high-friction, orange rubber grip, but the cold-rolled stainless steel blade of each knife is distinct and can used for game processing and a variety of other tasks. MSRP $79.99

In Sweden, Morakniv has long been synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship and precision. Moraknivs make great gifts for the sportsman or outdoor enthusiast.
