Online Registration for Alabama’z Fred T. Stimpson Youth Hunts Opens October 11

The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries is sponsoring four youth deer hunts on the Fred T. Stimpson Community Hunting Area in Clarke County this fall. The hunting area is located off of Clarke County Road 15 approximately 12 miles south of Jackson, Ala. Online registration for the hunts will begin at 8 a.m. on October 11, 2013. Each youth may register for any and/or all hunt dates.  Once selected for a hunt, the youth will not be eligible for future hunts unless all applicants have been previously selected for a hunt.  One-hundred youth hunters will be selected for each of the four deer hunts. Youth must be under 16 years of age on the day of the hunt and must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult 25 years or older, a parent or legal guardian.  Only the youth may hunt.

  • Friday,  November 8, 2013
  • Monday, December 2, 2013
  • Thursday, January 2, 2014

Hunt dates:

  • Saturday, November 16, 2013
  • Saturday, November 30, 2013
  • Saturday, December 21, 2013
  • Monday, January 20, 2014

Registration must be received by 8 a.m. on the draw date to be considered for that hunt.  After 10 a.m. on the draw date, applicants can check their draw results online.
