This Week, the Gun Girls Catch up September Nationals & Fall Hunting

With three different national championships in September and hunting season in full swing, Gun Girl Radio hosts have a lot of catching up to do. In this week’s show Randi Rogers and Julie Golob share their experiences at the USPSA Limited, Limited-10/ Open Nationals, the IDPA National Championships and the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.

Randi’s competition season has been intense this year and in September she competed in three of USPSA and IDPA’s premiere national championship events. Placing an impressive 2nd place woman in both USPSA Nationals and capturing her fifth IDPA Ladies National Title, listen to Randi go over all the details of the matches including locations, stages designs, match coverage and favorite moments. She also offers insight on how she prepares for non-stop travel and national level competitions.

A passionate hunter, Julie Golob talks about the first annual Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt. Hosted by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WWF) and The Ranch at Ucross the goal was to raise funds for the WWF’s mission to invest in the economic, self-sufficiency of women and the future of girls in the state of Wyoming. Julie was invited as a celebrity hunter and presented a Field to Fork cooking demonstration. Tune in as she talks about the experience and her pronghorn hunt in blizzard conditions.
