Blind Horse Knives to Host the 2013 Ohio Classic Knife Show on October 18-19

Blind Horse Knives will be hosting the annual Ohio Classic Knife Show October 18th and 19th at the Pritchard-Laughlin Civic center, located at 7033 Glenn Highway in Cambridge, Ohio.  The Ohio Classic Knife Show features talented knife makers from all over the US, with custom and production knives for sale.

Blind Horse Knives has many exciting things lined up for this year’s show.  Blade Sports International will be there certifying participants on Friday for the chopping contest to be held on Saturday.  Dan Keffeler will be there defending his world record title for fastest 2×4 cut. Certification will begin at 9 am and costs $40.00. The cutting competition for all certified cutters will be Saturday at noon and the cost is $25.00.

Informative seminars and demonstrations are planned for both days as well as other exciting surprises.

  • Tom Laskowski from Midwest Native Skills Institute.
  • Jamie Burleigh of Burleigh Balm.
  •  Michael Henninger from Self Reliance Illustrated.
  • Jeff Fournier from Mule Team Canvas Company will be giving a demonstration on dying canvas.

Last year over 100 vendors and 500 guests attended the show. Some highlights of last year’s show include multiple demonstrations and seminars, knife making supplies and survival gear for sale, Blind Horse Knives virtual knife show, SRI Live, and a chopping contest. There were celebrity guest appearances and demonstrations as well.
