The Association of Collegiate Anglers Announces the 2014 Schedule for Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Presented by BoatUS

Cabela’s, The World’s Foremost Outfitter, has continued their sponsorship of the Association of Collegiate Anglers, and the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. Once again the title sponsor of the entire series which consists of three major events, including the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash, the Collegiate Bass Fishing Open and the season-ending BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. The sponsorship also includes numerous school run events nationwide, many which count towards the prestigious 2014 Cabela’s School of the Year race.

“Cabela’s is one of several companies that have been behind our series and collegiate bass fishing since its inception in 2006. Their involvement and support of this initiative have allowed us to continually enhance our programs and offerings to collegiate anglers,” said Wade Middleton, President of CarecoTV and Co-founder of the ACA. “We are honored to have their continued support and this collaboration between Cabela’s and the ACA will allow us to continue to raise the bar for collegiate bass fishing events and opportunities.”

The 2014 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series presented by BoatUS will be nationally televised and hosted on some of the nation’s top fisheries. The series will include:

  • Collegiate Bass Fishing Open – March 14-16, 2014 – Lake Chickamauga – Dayton, Tenn.
  • Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash – April 4-5, 2014 – Kentucky Lake – Paris, Tenn.
  • BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship – May 28-30, 2014 – Pickwick Lake – Florence, Ala.
