Award-winning outdoor television producer Keith Warren has pledged his support for Honor Our Soldiers, a national campaign to create public awareness for the sacrifices of American veterans, past and present. Warren has signed the Honor Our Soldiers online petition and is encouraging his viewers and social media followers to also support the campaign at www.HonorOurSoldiers.org/petition.
“For hundreds of years, our soldiers, seamen and airmen have defended our liberty and interests in every corner of the globe and right here on American soil. It’s imperative we recognize the sacrifices and selfless commitments of our brave veterans by preserving the sacred ground where they have fought and died,” says Warren. “I want to encourage everyone to support the Honor Our Soldiers campaign. Signing the online petition only takes a few seconds, but the legacy of our soldiers is timeless.”
The Honor Our Soldiers campaign seeks to create awareness for the many historical sites, where American soldiers have fought and died, that are now at risk of being lost beneath a bulldozer’s blade. For example, nearly 20 percent of the nation’s Civil War battlefields have already been destroyed by development — denied forever to future generations. Of those that remain, only 15 percent are protected as National Parks. For more information on Honor Our Soldiers, visit www.HonorOurSoldiers.org
