World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, presents Episode 2 of World Fishing Journal Sunday, Nov. 3 at 11:30 a.m. ET.

Delivering a new episode the first Sunday of every month, World Fishing Journal brings together a roster of talented sports producers to craft engaging, story-driven features based around the angling community and fishing industry. Episode 2 features include:

The 60th International Billfish Tournament: Hosted by Mariko Izumi, Puerto Rico plays host to the most important fishing tournament across the Caribbean. Celebrating its Diamond Anniversary, the IBT has been a must-do for the best sport anglers in the world for 60 years. The big draw is ‘Marlin Alley,’ a 1.5 mile deep trench off the north coast of San Juan where blue marlin swim in abundance. Catch-and-release is the rule in this conservation-oriented tournament that calls for anglers to use 30 and 50-pound test line.

The Boston Fishing Academy, Part One: In this two-part story, we’ll meet the kids from the Boston Fishing Academy, who come from Boston’s inner city and have had to grow up in difficult surroundings and situations. We’ll follow the kids as they’re exposed to the wonders of fishing through the Boston Fishing Academy. Most have never been out of their neighborhood, so to be on the water catching fish can be a transformational and life-altering experience.

Get Hooked on WFN: Mariko Izumi joins contest winner Dan Mruz of Crystal, Minn. as they head out on a guided fishing trip courtesy of WFN and XFINITY. Jack Shriver, a guide on Leech Lake, takes Mariko and Dan in search of giant Minnesota muskies and huge walleye. Mariko finds out not only that Dan, president of North Metro Muskies Inc., is no slouch with the stick, but muskie truly are the fish of 10,000 casts.

“World Fishing Journal has proven to be an instant hit with our viewers,” said Ana Rodrigues, Director of Programming for WFN. “Every episode presents unique stories and features that cater to all angling enthusiasts, and we’re looking forward to bringing them a new, entertaining episode of World Fishing Journal every month.”
