Team Remington Dominates 2013 Western CMP Games and Creedmoor Cup Matches

Demonstrating exceptional marksmanship and skill, Team Remington shooters won Overall Team and Match Rifle Champions at the 2013 Western Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Games and Creedmoor Cup matches held at Ben Avery Shooting Range in Phoenix, Arizona on October 11-20, 2013.

“This is a significant accomplishment for our team – winning both Eastern and Western CMP Games in one year,” said Ken Roxburgh, Team Coach and Captain. “Overall, 2013 has been one of the best competitive years for Team Remington.”

In addition to the team awards, Team Remington member Mark Laramie took the top prize earning Match Rifle Champion and Overall Winner in the Creedmoor Cup Individual Matches and Sara Rozanski took a respectable second place overall in the Individual Service Rifle category.

Instructors from Team Remington kicked-off the Creedmoor Cup matches by conducting the Remington Advanced High-Power Rifle Marksmanship Clinic comprised of classes on aiming and trigger control, techniques of fire, effects of weather, wind reading, zeroing, care and use of match equipment, use of slings and rifle shooting positions.  The free shooting clinic offered formal classroom instruction, practical application, dry and live fire training, and demonstrations by some of the world’s leading service rifle and match rifle competitors.
