Colorado Waterfowl Hunting 101 Seminar in Delta

If you’ve ever wanted to learn the fine points of waterfowl hunting, plan to attend a seminar noon – 4 p.m. Nov. 23, in Delta.
Experts from Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Delta Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will provide instruction on all aspects of hunting waterfowl. Participants will learn about: hunting tactics, use of dogs, calling, bird identification, setting decoys and more. The seminar will also include field demonstrations.
The class will start with classroom instruction at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife shop at the Escalante State Wildlife Area west of Delta. After that the class will move outdoors for field demonstrations.
To get to the state wildlife area, turn west on 5th Street in Delta, also known as G Road, and go 5.2 miles. The entrance is on the right.
The class is free but you must sign up in advance. Space is limited. To sign up, go to the Parks and Wildlife office in Montrose at 2300 South Townsend Ave., call 970-252-6000, or send an email to dawn.bresett@state.co.us.
