Marine Marketing Veteran Adds Depth to Engel Executive Team

Engel USA, the leader in high performance coolers and 12V refrigerator freezers with headquarters in Jupiter, FL, recently announced the appointment of Michael Dixon as Vice President of Business Development. In his new role with Engel USA, Dixon is responsible for sales and marketing, including strategic planning and forecasting, management of the company’s domestic and international sales efforts, as well as planning and execution of marketing programs. He
reports directly to Paul Kabalin, CEO of Engel USA.
Dixon joins Engel USA after holding executive sales and marketing positions with several prominent marine brands, including Yamaha Marine, Lumitec and Navionics. While at Yamaha, Dixon was in charge of the company’s extensive saltwater promotional effort. In that role, he forged productive relationships with hundreds of professional saltwater fisherman and guides, worked closely with top tier editors and writers, and managed an extensive network of associated vendors and suppliers. At Navionics and Lumitec, Dixon enjoyed consistent success in growing those brands’ market share among both dealers and OEM customers.
Paul Kabalin expects Dixon to play a vital role as Engel USA continues to grow. “Mike’s experience fits our needs to a tee,” said Kabalin. “While his knowledge of the industry is impressive, so is his intelligence, professionalism and ‘get it done now’ attitude. We’re very happy to have him on our team.” Dixon will immediately capitalize on his marine experience, however he is also eager to get involved with the other market segments served by Engel. “I’m looking forward to meeting new people in the hunting, outdoors and off-road market segments,” said Dixon. “The appeal of Engel products across all the outdoor enthusiast categories makes my job more challenging – and much more interesting.”
