Special Presentations of Ice Team and Captured Headline the Ice Block Marathon Starting at 8 p.m. ET
World Fishing Network, the leading entertainment destination and digital resource for anglers throughout North America, will air Ice Block, a four-hour programming marathon dedicated to ice fishing, on Tuesday, Nov. 19 beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
Viewers will enjoy two specials premiering on WFN as part of Ice Block: Ice Team and Captured. Ice Team is built around an elite group of ice fishing educators called the Ice Team Pros, who create content to help educate the ice fishing audience and spend most of the year promoting and teaching others about the sport. WFN presents back-to-back episodes of Ice Team on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET, respectively:
- Episode 1: Gamefish is on the menu. Ice Team Pros Bernie Keefe and Nate Zelinsky tackle lake trout in the beautiful scenery of Colorado’s mountain lakes. Then Ice Team Pros Keith Kavajecz, Pete Maina, Jeff Andersen and Jason Mitchell head to Lake of the Woods for some hot walleye action.
- Episode 2: If it’s panfish you want, don’t miss this episode. First, Ice Team Pros Gary Parsons, Jim Kusuda, Tod Todd and the late Jim Hudson head to a remote lake in Northern Minnesota in search of trophy crappie. Next, travel to the Connecticut River and join up with James Vladyka and team for a mixed bag of crappie, sunfish and perch.
At 9 p.m. ET, join acclaimed host Ashley Rae as she pursues trout and trophy walleye on Captured. Set in Eastern Ontario’s Land O’ Lakes region during the hard water season, this world famous fishery provides a stunning background and delivers a unique cinematic look into the culture of ice fishing. Produced with top-of-the-line aerial cinematography, Captured just might be the coolest ice fishing show the viewer sees all season.
Next, Italo Labignan and the Canadian Sportfishing team are on Lake Simcoe, Ontario to demonstrate how to catch deep water whitefish through the ice using jigs and spoons at 10 p.m. ET followed by an ice-centric episode of Fish TV at 10:30 p.m. Later at 11 p.m. ET on Angler West TV, we catch up with Justin Wolff on Flaming Gorge Reservoir in Utah and Wyoming as he targets lake and rainbow trout through the ice, then head back to Canada as the legendary Bob Izumi leads the pursuit of various species on Bob Izumi’s Real Fishing Show at 11:30 p.m.
“WFN is excited to once again present Ice Block, which offers several unique perspectives of the sport of ice fishing,” said Pam Stinson, Vice President of Marketing for WFN. “Ice Block also gives viewers the opportunity to watch never-before-seen on WFN shows like Ice Team and Captured that will be both educational and entertaining.”
