Heizer Defense Welcomes Omar Fuentes Costa Back from Afghanistan


Heizer Defense is extremely proud and pleased to welcome back Delfin “Omar” Fuentes Costa from his deployment in Afghanistan. Omar was a Platoon Leader and has been in the US Army since 2011. He led over 50 combat patrols and was a key player in multiple major operations. His Route Clearance Patrol was one of the few patrols with a 100% find rate of IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) . In addition, his platoon aggressively engaged and aided in the neutralization of multiple Taliban cells within his region.

Gary Ramey, GM/COO of Heizer Defense noted “We are thrilled to have Omar rejoin Heizer Defense and want to thank him for his service to our country. He is a talented young man and a key member of the Heizer Defense Team. Omar’s success includes not only training US and Afghan soldiers, but a Bachelor’s degree from University of Central Florida, a Lean Six Sigma Belt, and he is also working on his Master’s Degree at Washington University. I enjoy working with him and invite other member’s of our industry to stop by and meet him at Shows and events”.

Omar Fuentes commented, “I am extremely excited to be back at it. Words cannot explain the gratitude that I have for the support received from the Heizers and the rest of the Heizer Defense team. It is a privilege to be part of the PS1 Pocket Shotgun Pistol launch”.

Omar’s responsibilities will include working on the rollout of the PS1 Pocket Shotgun and as a key member providing guidance on new pistol product development.
