Officials with IDPA Costa Rica and the International Defensive Pistol Association, the international governing body for IDPA competition, announced that online shooter registration is now open for the 2014 Costa Rican National Championship, which is set to take place April 10-12 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
The championship will be hosted at Rancho Arizona and is expected to draw top shooters from Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Austria and the United States.
“We are once again rolling out the red carpet for our fellow IDPA shooters in the U.S. and around the region, and this coming April Costa Rica will be the place to be for outstanding IDPA action, great weather and warm Costa Rican hospitality,” said Match Director Rodrigo Carvajal.
The 2014 Costa Rican IDPA National Championship will see upwards of 100 international shooters gunning for both national pride and the Costa Rican title in Custom Defensive Pistol, Enhanced Service Pistol, Stock Service Pistol, Stock Service Revolver and Enhanced Service Revolver, the five divisions in IDPA competition.
The championship will feature 12 stages, shot in a one-day format, and a round count of approximately 165 rounds. Safety Officers and staff will compete on Thursday, April 10.
