Johnson to Sponsor 2014 Crappie Masters

Johnson, a company known for its legendary Beetle Spin lure, has announced their sponsorship of the Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Tournament Trail for the upcoming year. Johnson has partnered with pro anglers Scott and Billy Williams to tackle the tour.
“We believe in Crappie Masters and their promotion to grow competitive crappie fishing,” Chris Pitsilos, Business Brand Manager for Johnson, said. “The Williams’ team is a highly motivated, competitive set of anglers on the circuit that just love to fish. We are excited to have them as our crappie team on the trail.”
The father & son team from Georgia was very successful in 2013. As the 2013 Florida State Champions and fourth place finishers at the 2013 Crappie Masters Classic, Team Williams finished fourth in the Team of the Year category.
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters is a professional crappie fishing trail for crappie anglers. The goal of the Trail is to promote, enhance and preserve our outdoor heritage and specifically crappie fishing. They promote national sponsors, local sponsors and area lake sponsors that want to share with you their product, services and lake tourism areas.
Crappie Masters holds various activities other than tournaments in an effort to promote crappie fishing, tournament fishing and our outdoor way of life. Crappie fishing seminars and classes are an example.
