Liberty Ammunition Announces New Executive Management Team

Liberty Ammunition, global leader in high performance, lead-free ammunition for military and law enforcement markets, announce a new management team in key positions as the company is poised to experience exponential growth in the ammunition market.
The new team is formed under the leadership of President and CEO, Steven C. Torma. Torma joined Liberty in late spring, 2013, bringing with him years of top management experience in systems management, global supply chain capabilities and best business practices in the ammunition industry. Torma comes to Liberty from General Dynamics where he served as their Vice President and General Manager for the Large Caliber Ammunition Strategic Business Unit. In his professional career, Torma has worked on fragmentation warhead technologies and 120mm Tank ammunition early in his career to quality assurance and program management in large caliber and conventional artillery ammunition. Steven Torma has published multiple papers in the fields of ballistics, quality assurance and environmental remediation. He is a lifetime member of the National Defense Industrial Association and the United States Field Artillery Association. He is also a member of the Association of the United States Army and is recognized in the Who’s Who Worldwide.

Additionally, Liberty Ammunition has filled other top positions including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Senior Director of Manufacturing and Quality Manager. Kathleen Long joined the new management team as the CFO, bringing with her over 20 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Matthew Phillips joined Liberty mid-year as the new VP of Sales and Marketing focusing on growth in the personal defense, law enforcement and military ammunition sales through distributor and retailer channels. Joseph Homko, the new Senior Director of Manufacturing, comes directly from General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems and brings over 25 years of experience in the manufacture of military ordnance with senior-level responsibility. James Edwards rounds out the new management staff as the Quality Manager responsible for the development and implementation of quality, safety and security process for all the production of the commercial ammunition line.
The new executive management team, under the leadership of the new CEO and President, Steven Torma, has in the past few months already leveraged their combined skill-sets to expand production and caliber choices, developed relationships within top distribution channels, increased brand awareness and sales numbers, as well as having tripled employment in the past six months.
