Pre-Teen Host is Breaking the Mold – “YoungWild” to Debut on Sportsman Channel on January 3

Adult-Dominated Industry to Watch 12-Year-Old Make His Mark

Lincoln Tapp, 12, is wise beyond his years and is one of the youngest outdoors enthusiasts ever to host a prime-time hunting show on a major cable network. Tapp, is hosting an original series, YoungWild, airing exclusively on Sportsman Channel beginning January 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.

With his dad, Jim Tapp, as cameraman, and a small production team, YoungWild documents

Lincoln’s journey to become the youngest hunter ever to successfully harvest each of North America’s 29 big game animals with a bow, often referred to as the “Super Slam.”

This first season is an epic tour across North America and includes a two-part series in the Yukon where Lincoln becomes the youngest known hunter to harvest a Stone sheep with a bow. And while Lincoln retains an experienced, intense dedication and skill level to his pursuit, YoungWild appeals to a youth demographic that also engages the entire family. It’s a show about overcoming challenges and finding strength in family relationships.

“I didn’t grow up hunting,” explains Jim Tapp.  “I’ve only been hunting whitetail since college. What we really hope to do is inspire other families with young children to get out and take some risks and enjoy this great sport.”

“Youth hunter outreach is critical to the future of what all of us hold close to our heart, and that’s outdoor conservation,” concludes Lincoln Tapp.
