Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV, is kicking off the New Year as the pinnacle sponsor of the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s (NSSF) annual Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) and Conference, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada from Tuesday, January 14th through Friday, January 17th. SHOT Show is one of the largest and most comprehensive trade shows for the shooting, hunting, military and law enforcement industries.

State of the Industry Dinner

Sponsored by Outdoor Channel, this year’s NSSF State of the Industry Dinner will include a reception where ticket-holders will be treated to an unforgettable performance by eccentric magicians Penn & Teller. Moreover, Outdoor Channel CEO and President Jim Liberatore will take the stage calling for an industry-wide commitment to educate the public on the conservation, social and economic benefits of hunting, including regulated Safari hunts.

Outdoor Channel honors the network’s most notable talent and production teams at the invitation-only 14th Annual Golden Moose Awards. This year’s signature event will be hosted by Michael Waddell of Outdoor Channel’s “Realtree Road Trips” and “Bone Collector.” It will include special musical performances by Ted Nugent of Outdoor Channel’s “Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild,” Aaron Lewis, Craig Morgan of the network’s “Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors”, and country music newcomer Colton James.
More than 20 accolades will be presented at the ceremony, including the Top Five Fan Favorite voted by loyal viewers of the network. Outdoor Channel also plans to give an honorary Golden Moose Award for Lifetime Achievement to a surprise recipient.
Among the Golden Moose Awards presenters are Joe Mantegna of “MidwayUSA’s Gun Stories”; Willie Robertson of “Buck Commander”; Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Jon Lester; former NBA player Jared Jeffries of “Modern Fishing with Jared Jeffries”; NASCAR racing crew chief Greg Zipadelli of “Greg Zipadelli’s Drop Zone”; RAM Trucks’ Brian Szalk; and Theresa Vail, a Sergeant in the Kansas Army National Guard, a 2013 Miss Kansas winner, a 2014 Miss America top ten finalist and an avid bowhunter.

Outdoor Channel wants to know: #WhatGetsYouOutdoors? SHOT Show attendees can upload a short video by jumping into Outdoor Channel’s interactive booth to share their passion for being active in the outdoors. Participants will then receive a complimentary “What Gets You Outdoors?” hat. One lucky recipient per hour spotted on the show floor wearing the hat by street teams will get a chance to win an Outdoor Channel prize pack!

As the official cable network of this year’s SHOT Show, Outdoor Channel will once again produce SHOT Show TV. The broadcast will be hosted by Michael Bane, star of Outdoor Channel’s “Shooting Gallery” and “The Best Defense.” Bane will provide daily updates from the show floor. Sponsored by Battenfeld, Benelli, Daniel Defense, Double Star, Gamo, International Case Company, Ram, Stag Arms and Swarovski, SHOT Show TV will air in suites at more than forty Las Vegas hotels, including the Bellagio, The Venetian and The Palazzo.
