As Crimson Trace, the leader in laser sights and tactical lights, celebrates 20 years in the shooting industry in 2014, the company is also noting another monumental milestone—that the two millionth Crimson Trace product recently shipped. The company marked the milestone with the executive team prepping the item—a Lasergrip for a 1911 pistol—for shipping from the company’s headquarters in Wilsonville, Oregon.
“It’s a great honor to be leading the company on this historical occasion and to be a part of the team that has now produced and shipped more than 2 million Crimson Trace products to our loyal customers across America and around the globe,” said Lane Tobiassen, Crimson Trace President and CEO. “While it may have taken 20 years to reach this important milestone, with more than 150 products in our line today, and with our expanded production and shipping facilities in place here in Oregon, we will produce and ship the next million products in far less time.” The company is introducing more than a dozen new products in 2014 with numerous laser sights and light designs on the engineer’s drawing boards for future releases.
A customer in central Illinois purchased that historic Crimson Trace 1911 grip and won an expense paid trip to Wilsonville to tour the factory.
Among the efforts that have yielded the high production numbers are the launch of several product categories, including Lasergrips, Laserguards, Lightguards, the Defender Series and the Rail Master. Since the company was founded in 1994, all products have been engineered and manufactured in the USA. Crimson Trace employees more than 150 production specialists, engineers, customer service representatives and marketing and sales staff.
The company’s goal is to make laser sighting systems standard equipment on every personal protection firearm in the United States. More details are at www.crimsontrace.com.
