Monadnock Introduces New Ultralite Friction Lock Baton

The Monadnock brand announced today the introduction of the new Ultralite baton, its most lightweight friction lock baton ever designed. The Ultralite is a three-stage friction lock baton featuring a lightweight carbon graphite-reinforced handle resulting in a high strength-to-weight ratio. The Ultralite baton is offered in four models in both 21” and 26” lengths. The Ultralite will be featured at the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference (SHOT Show) January 14 – 17, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada, booth #12762.
“The Ultralite baton provides the same reliable quality as our other Classic Friction Lock batons but with an impressive 35 percent weight reduction,” said Chuck Martin, Category Director for Monadnock. He added, “As officers are required to carry more and more gear on their duty belts, this baton will become a popular alternative.”
With a weight-forward design for greater swing follow through, the Ultralite design is easily opened with a flick of the wrist, locked into place via precision Morse tapers and is closed by striking the baton on a hard surface. The Ultralite features a black chrome finish shaft with a standard steel tip, and may be purchased with either the new patent pending Monadnock Wedge Cap for enhanced baton retention, or with a standard end cap.
The Ultralite batons will be available for purchase in February 2014.
