Sportsman Channel is proud to announce Steve Hornady (CEO, Hornady Manufacturing) as the recipient of “Sportsman of the Year” during the 2013 Sportsman Choice Awards. Hornady was honored Wednesday night in front of 800 of his peers in Las Vegas during the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. The event was co-hosted by Cam Edwards of NRANEWS Cam & Co., (airs on Sportsman Channel, M-F, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET) and Benny Spies, host of Gun It with Benny Spies (airs on Sportsman Channel).
Under Steve’s leadership, Hornady as a company has thrived and expanded to become an international leader in bullet, ammunition, reloading tool and security product design and manufacture. He fostered and maintains a creative environment that ultimately led to innovation becoming a hallmark of Hornady Manufacturing. This emphasis on innovation serves as a testament to the company’s focus on producing interesting products for shooters and hunters; products that Steve and the employees of Hornady produced as much for their own enjoyment as that of the consumer. The nimble approach to filling niches within the industry has become a staple, and an endearing part of the legacy of Steve Hornady Manufacturing.
