The development team at Hammerhead Industries is always looking to make their products better and more functional for their customers and so, they are introducing the new Gear Keeper Combo MOLLE Mount Gear Tether in the color Coyote. Tactical operators and soldiers alike can testify the color blends well with a wide variety of terrains. The unit keeps gear – from flashlights to GPS units – fully accessible while preventing loss. It allows you to grab what you need, when you need it. And, when you don’t need it, simply let go knowing it will fall back into place. A “must-have,” the compact, quiet and rugged Gear Keeper features two attachment options and is available in different models to support different size gear.
Purposefully designed to be as practical and efficient as possible, the Gear Keeper Combo MOLLE Mount Gear Tether comes with two MOLLE attachment options. The first is the compact 360 degree Rotating MOLLE Mount, which allows the user to pull gear out and use it at any angle – rotating it up, down or to the side – without straining the device. Also included is a Velcro strap MOLLE mount, which allows gear to swing out during use for minimal resistance and maximum line life.
The retractable line constructed of high strength Spectra/Nylon coupled with stainless steel spring hardware and a high-impact casing makes it extremely durable and able to take a good knock without any issues. The tether also features the company’s patented saltwater proof flushing system, which keeps it free of sand and debris.
Available in a variety of sizes to accommodate different size and weight gear the Model RT4-5170 has a retraction force of 3 oz. and extends to 36″ ideal for light items like medic shears or a compass. Model RT4-5171 has a retraction force of 6 oz. and also extends to 36″ perfect for a small tactical light. Finally, the RT4-5174 has retraction force of 9 oz. enough for a GPS unit and extends to 32″.
The original Geer Keeper system was engineered specifically for SCUBA diving literally born out of a need to secure items in situations when hands are otherwise occupied. Gear Keeper systems are now available in more than 3,000 configuration options and used in applications from hiking, fishing and hunting to law enforcement, military and trucking.
