Scholastic Pistol Program Announces Start of 2014 Season with Southwest Winter Regional

The Scholastic Pistol Program (SPP) will host its first regional of 2014 with the Southwest Winter Regional Championship – hosted by the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit sponsored by GLOCK. The match will be held at the Gunsmoke Shooting Range in Snook TX, February 1.

To kick off the match there will be a live fire demonstration by the Texas A&M Parson’s Mounted Calvary and their famed field artillery piece – The Spirit of ’02. To top off the weekend the attendees will have a chance to meet a very special guest, GLOCK spokesperson R. Lee “Gunny” Ermey.

This is the second year that the Corps of Cadets Marksmanship Unit has hosted this event. Corps Head Coach, Kevin Jimmerson will serve as Match Director, the Corps of Cadets will provide match support. “This promises to be a great start the 2014 SPP season,” said Scott Moore, SPP Program Director. “The hospitality we receive from the Corps is outstanding. This will be a special event not to be missed!”
