Meet the Dogs of SportingDog Adventures at Pheasant Fest 2014

Fans of the hit show SportingDog Adventures can meet the canine stars “in person” at the National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic, February 14th – 16th at the Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee.  Soggy Acres Desert Fox MH (“Rommel”) and Soggy Acres Lucy Belle will be staffing the SportingDog Adventures/ Soggy Acres Retrievers booth to give paw, howl, and beg for belly rubs from all of their fans.

“There’s no doubt who the real stars are on SportingDog Adventures TV,” says Jeff Fuller, host and executive producer.  “No matter where the show travels, everyone wants to meet the dogs.  They may not speak, but their personalities shine through, and everyone has a favorite.”

Jeff Fuller, on behalf of his show and kennel, will be on hand at booth 543, and will be conducting two seminars daily on “Picking Your Next Puppy” and “Gun Dog Training.”  After an injury in the line of duty forced his retirement from law enforcement, Fuller dedicated his career to breeding and training Labradors for both upland and waterfowl hunting, as well as shed hunting.  Since then, the Soggy Acres Retrievers kennel has grown to produce some of the nation’s top chocolate, black, and yellow retrievers with excellent lineage, many of which have gone on to Senior and Master hunt titles.

SportingDog Adventures TV, which began as a marketing tool for Fuller’s Labrador breeding program, has taken off, posting outstanding numbers on major networks in the US and Canada.  On the success of the show, Fuller remarks: “As a family-friendly show, we focus largely on the companionship aspect of the hunt, including the bond that is formed with the dogs.  No other show incorporates the dogs into the storyline the way we do.  Whether our dogs are upland hunting or shed hunting, their skills and personalities are the main attraction.”

SportingDog Adventures premiers its fourth season in 3rd quarter 2014 on The Pursuit Channel, Tuesdays at 9:00 am, Wednesday at 11:30 pm, and Saturday at 9:30 pm, and on Tuff TV on Saturday at 10:30 am.  We will also be featured on both The Walk Christian network and Wild TV Canada.  The Soggy Acres Retrievers now entertain in two countries and 129 million households!

Pheasants Forever launched Quail Forever in August of 2005 to address the continuing loss of habitat suitable for quail and the subsequent quail population decline. Bobwhite population losses over the last 25 years range from 60 to 90 percent across the country. The reason for the quail population plunge is simple - massive losses of habitat suitable for quail. There are five major factors leading to the losses of quail habitat; intensified farming and forestry practices, succession of grassland ecosystems to forests, overwhelming presence of exotic grasses like fescue that choke out wildlife, and urban sprawl.
