Johnson Outdoors Watercraft Microsite AdventureOnTheWater.com Wins Accolades in Kentico ‘Site of the Year’ Contest

Johnson Outdoors Watercraft launched AdventureOnTheWater.com in November of 2013 to help people discover the possibilities, fun and adventurous world of paddling and kayak fishing. Since then, the community and its engagement have grown steadily and now the website has been named ‘Best Community / Social Media Site’ in the Kentico ‘Site of the Year’ Contest.
An annual contest that seeks out the best CMS and EMS implementations within the Kentico roster of clients, AdventureOnTheWater was selected from hundreds of applicants in peer to peer voting. Category winners and the Site of the Year winner were announced this month, with AdventureOnTheWater taking top honors in its category on the backs of ease of use, its clean design and community driven content approach.

Since November, AdventureOnTheWater.com has grown to include over 2,500 active users. Focused content is being added daily, and with the new addition of Instagram feeds, the audience is primed for continued growth and engagement.
Through AdventureOnTheWater.com, the Johnson Outdoors Watercraft brands, including Necky Kayaks, Ocean Kayak and Old Town Canoes & Kayaks, feature its products, Pro-Staff and Adventure Team members to help engage the kayak fishing community and promote canoeing and kayaking as a whole. The site is powered by Kentico’s content management platform and features a diverse mix of videos, photos and stories, created and curated by a roster of elite athletes and industry experts.
