K2 Coolers Joins Ducks Unlimited as Newest Corporate Partner

With the winter weather at bay and warmer temperatures looming, it’s only fitting that summertime parties and cookouts are on everyone’s mind. Just because duck season is over, however, doesn’t mean your support of Ducks Unlimited (DU) has to stop. One way to continue your patronage is through our newest partner, K2 Coolers.

The newest company to join DU’s Corporate Partner Program, K2 will offer a co-branded DU cooler available at retail outlets across the country. Founded in 2011, K2 set out to design a durable, lightweight cooler that would provide maximum ice retention without breaking your back or your bank account.

“We are proud to have K2 Coolers on board as one of our newest corporate partners,” said Jeremy Smith, DU’s director of corporate relations. “K2 products have been a great asset in DU’s Preferred Vendor Program and helped us raise a significant amount of grassroots money for our mission. We’re excited to see K2’s commitment to wetlands conservation taken to the next level.”

As longtime DU volunteers on the state and local level, K2’s co-founders, Burton Angelle and Jim Angers, are keenly aware of the work that DU does to help preserve wetlands and waterfowl populations.

“It’s an honor to be able to affiliate ourselves with an organization that has a mission that so closely mirrors our own passion.” Angers said.

Ducks Unlimited is the world's leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation. DU got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows. Determined not to sit idly by as the continent’s waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited. Its mission: habitat conservation. Thanks to decades of abiding by that single mission, Ducks Unlimited is now the world’s largest and most effective private waterfowl and wetlands conservation organization. DU is able to multilaterally deliver its work through a series of partnerships with private individuals, landowners, agencies, scientific communities and other entities.
